When Jordan was an infant, Ingeborg cared for him as her foster child. However, she struggled for his custody as his birth mother would not give him up. Apparently, the birth mother wanted a black family to adopt her child instead of McIntosh.
Apparently, no family took interest on the little boy, so in the end, he was given back to Ingeborg. When he was four years old, he stayed at Ingeborg’s home for good.
Furthermore, McIntosh’s family took in 125 foster kids, but there was only one who captured their hearts and it was Jordan.
After 20 years, Ingeborg was unfortunately diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease which required a transplant.
Jordan set an appointment to the doctors to know whether he was a capable kidney donor to his mother. Luckily, he was a match.
“I feel like this was my calling in life, I guess. Hopefully, I can do more for her as I get older, but for the moment, it’s the least I could do,” Jordan said.
The mother was against the operation as it could put her son’s life in danger, but he insisted. Anyway, there is no way he could be stopped as his decision was firm.
Meanwhile, when Jordan speaks about his mother, he could not help but get emotional.
“Everything she’s done for me since I was a kid, I just wanted to give it back to her, and show her how much I appreciate her,” the kind-hearted son stated.
This child came to the woman’s life for a reason. He did not only bring happiness to her family, but he also gave her another chance at life.
