Children, especially infants, demand extra special type of care because of their being delicate and gentle. Unfortunately, there are mothers who do not realize the special attention needed by these little angels.
It is heartbreaking to see a picture of a newborn sitting inside a car without any adult supervision. The photo was reportedly taken four years ago but it once again dominated the social media community and drew a lot of criticism from online users.
The incident happened in Park’n Save Supermarket parking lot in Porirua, New Zeland, Newsner reported. A couple parked their car and saw near them a sleeping baby inside an unattended car. The poor infant was inside the vehicle alone. The condition of the baby disturbed the couple as they discovered that the car doors were locked. The baby also has a note that says,
“My mum’s in doing shopping, call her if I need anything,” the note said with a phone number attached.
The couple did not leave the baby as they wait for someone to come back. When they noticed that it has already been so long since the baby was left inside, they started breaking car doors but to no avail. They asked for help from other people who were also at the scene. They called the mother and asked her to return immediately. Fortunately, the baby was saved and unharmed.
The viral photo sparked an outrage from many online users who think that this is an example of irresponsible parenting. They clamor for the parent to provide an explanation as to why she cannot carry her child inside the shopping mall. Meanwhile, there are also netizens who remained neutral and suggested that there could be a valid reason why the mother chose to leave her baby inside the car.
