Have you ever felt like someone was watching you but you couldn’t be sure who it was?

In many cases when we’re stressed or afraid, our nerves get the better of us and we start seeing things that aren’t there.
Sometimes our eyes can deceive us, make us think we saw something that really wasn’t there.
This viral photo has seriously freaked out many netizens but the truth may be simpler than one thinks.
Netizen Kendrick Kang, a Malaysian insurance agent, shared these viral photos of a strange encounter with a strange girl he had on a train.
According to the viral post, Mr. Kang was taking the MRT to go to an appointment. After sometime, he felt like someone was staring at him.
Then he found the person looking at him – a lady with a pitch black eye that appeared to be amused at him.
Plenty of Facebook users reacted to the seemingly scary photo. As it turns out, like Mr. Kang, many people were fooled by this optical illusion. At first glance, it appears as though the lady was looking at the camera with a single eye which was completely black.
But look closely and you’ll discover what the picture is really about.
He captioned his viral photos with this statement:
“Today take MRT go appointment. Then I felt someone keep looking at me inside the train. The eyes are like smiling. This kept for quite some time. So at the end, I decided go and approach her to sell insurance. Then I realise… Kanasai, that’s her mouth la! #CopyPaste #Hahahahaha”
As it turns out, the woman’s “eye” is actually her mouth and most of her face is actually being obscured by her hair.
Her nose is actually peeking out of her hair.
In fact, the authenticity of Kang’s story is being disputed because the photo he posted has circulated the internet and social media before. Other meme sites such as 9gag have posted this particular photo on the past.
Regardless of how real his story was, you can’t deny that – for a brief moment – you were freaked out too!
